SDBJ Economic Trends 2015

As 2015 starts to gain traction, the San Diego Business Journal does a great service to the business community by bringing together some of our cities great minds to paint a picture of the economic landscape for the coming year.

President and CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jerry Sanders gave his remarks which led into the moderated discussion with this panel of experts.

It was a great breakfast with lots of great information. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet one another and listen to your knowledge.
Enjoy this recap video!

SteakLocker and KickStarter

The Bob Hoffman team was recently approached to help create a video for an awesome new San Diego start-up company called SteakLocker.

I wouldn't claim that anyone in our offices is a "foodie," per say, but we know a good steak when we see one, so we were excited when we got the opportunity to make this video.

Steaklocker combines the best of old world dry aging techniques with sophisticated modern technology allowing the consumer to control the process of dry aging and save at least 50%-70% on current retail dry age steak prices.

We weren't familiar with dry aged beef prior to this but when we tasted the steaks aged in the SteakLocker we were pleasantly surprised.  The aging process really concentrates all of the flavors into your meat, giving you all the tastes that you like about steak- but turned up to 11.  It was one of the best steaks we ever had.

We put together a KickStarter video that gives you all the information on the SteakLocker and what you can do to help this start-up bring the best beef experiences to consumers worldwide.

If you have a Start-Up or project that you are KickStarting and need attention grabbing media to go along side it, Bob Hoffman Photography and Video would love to work with you. Give us a call at 858.576.0046.

UPDATE

This KickStarter's success has taken off. With a great product and our media helping to explain the process and benefits of the machine, this campaign has now doubled its original goal.

Plus, this weekend our media was featured on some amazing publications all over the web.

USS Coronado Homecoming

This past week we were invited to photograph the homecoming ceremony of the USS Coronado.

This is a newly created ship that is being added to the fleet in Coronado Island.  The ship had been away with it's crew for over 11 months, so as the tug boats toted the ship into the port you could see the excitement and joy of the families start to bubble up.

As the navy men and women finally walked down the gang plank their families and friends who were waiting held up "Welcome Home" signs and ran in for giant hugs.  It's hard to not get choked up when awesome moments like this happen.

Check out the video below:

Thanks to Lincoln Military Housing for organizing such a great event.  They do such an amazing job fostering healthy community for soldiers and their families!

Aerial Photography and Video

Want to see international tennis star Andy Murray the size of an ant? Then take a look at the photos below!

We at Bob Hoffman Photography and Video have had the opportunity to take our services to new heights.  Please don't stop reading after such a  terrible joke.

Through aerial photography and videography we can now offer our clients never before seen views.
Take for example the opportunity we had this past weekend to shoot at the 2014 Davis Cup at Petco Park.

We use a quad-copter drone, outfitted with an HD camera, to soar, over-head to snap photos and record videos- highlighting a locations beauty in ways that most people don't usually get to see. The future is now.

Give us a call at our office to see how you can take advantage of this new technology.

New Year, New Headshot

Everyone needs a professional photo of themselves. Whether you're a doctor, lawyer, actress or a student; a professional photo speaks volumes. A great headshot, portrait or environmental photo is a powerful tool for promoting your business, and can give you an important edge in branding yourself.

The new year is the perfect time to update your outdated (or non-existant) photo, so you can start using it for 2013 marketing, your LinkedIn profile, and more.

Give us a call or email Bob to discuss what type of headshot is best for you. We can accomodate traditional and outdoor headshots in our Kearny Mesa studio, and can set up on-location for company photo days. Individual and group outdoor sessions, as well as environmental "while you work"photos are also something to think about.
