Jessica Sanchez is Coming Home!

The City of Chula Vista gave us the honor of videotaping and photographing American Idol's Jessica Sanchez, tomorrow! We couldn't be more happier to be a part of this occasion. Our very own Arnold De Guzman will videotape while Bryan Harrold photographs the entire event from start to finish!

The Manila Paper reports that Sanchez will perform live in Chula Vista on Saturday, May 12, at Eastlake High School.

Below is the breakdown for the events of Jessica's Homecoming:

11:30 AM Jessica will perform a concert for about 10,000 fans at Eastlake High School (located at 1120 Eastlake Parkway).

  • Fans are reminded that seating in the Eastlake High School’s football stadium is on first come, first served basis.
  • Guests are encouraged to carpool.

Chula Vista mayor Cheryl Cox will lead Jessica's welcome. “Our community is thrilled to welcome home Jessica — she is already Chula Vista’s Idol,” said Cox. “Her amazing talent and accomplishments are deserving of this grand celebration. We are so proud of her.”

This event was sponsored by the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation and SDG&E. Sanchez is one of three finalists vying to win the title of American Idol, a nationally televised music program. She is the youngest contestant and the only West Coast participant. The show is in its 11th season and has over 43 million viewers.
