The other day we had the pleasure of doing a product shoot for Thermo Fisher Scientific. TFS creates lab equipment, software, consumables and instruments for a bevy of customers in a variety of fields. Their website mentions seeking ways to improve one's workflow, a word very near and dear to the hearts of every videographer/photographer. Workflow efficiency can make or break a business. We're happy to create media for a company that not only understands this principal but champions it as well. A lot of time and preparation goes into every shoot that we do. It's important that the finished product can be viewed, edited and cut together in a manner more intensive creatively than it is in time.
With that, we're also looking forward to getting a lot of mileage out of this new studio setup. Having a space where we can careful control light makes a world of difference in creating any video or still image.
Bob Hoffman Video & Photography has been broadcasting the Carlsbad City Council Meetings for the past 3 years. Recently, Christopher Knight, whom we all know as Peter Brady from "The Brady Bunch", was honored by the Carlsbad City Council, for his charity work with Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation.
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation is a non-profit corporation that serves as an advocate for the Lagoon and strives to preserve its natural healthy ecosystem and habitat including wildlife and marine life, while at the same time balancing the need for public access, trails and recreational opportunities.
Christopher Knight has been involved with the foundation since 2008, but has always had close ties with San Diego County. "I've passed through or by these lagoons since I was a little kid, and I'm happy to be a person to help bring recognition to it," Christopher proclaimed. Knight plans to be at Lagoon Day 2012 on July 22 held at the lagoon which is at 1580 Cannon Road. We were able to attend the 8th Annual 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies event at Paradise Point and also had the pleasure of doing both the principal photography and videography of the Top 10 Businesses in collaboration with the San Diego Business Journal.
